WHITTEMORE—The Whittemore Fire Department recently received a contribution from the NEW Cooperative Foundation totaling $2,500. The funds will be put toward the department’s recent purchase of a new tanker trunk. NEW Cooperative also presented an additional $2,500 in matching funds from the CHS, Inc. Seeds for Stewardship program.

“The new tanker truck provides an additional 2,000 gallons of water our fleet can take to a fire,” said Eric Goodman, Whittemore Fire Chief.
