ALGONA—Oak Street in Algona was closed from Diagonal Street to Roan Street on Tuesday, April 25 for tree removal. The street will remain closed until the work is completed.

The City of Algona is working through a proactive, large-scale ash tree removal project this spring to mitigate the Emerald Ash Borer. Approximately 100 trees are anticipated to be removed this year, and additional trees may be treated.
