The Algona Delphian Society awarded the Outstanding Freshman Student Award to Ella Welp of Algona HIgh School, daughter of Dan and Amy Welp and to Coralyn Deardeuff of Bishop Garrigan, daughter of Chris and Marcia Deardeuff. The outstanding students were selected by their respective high school instructors.  The Delphian Society is a national organization that promotes the education of women in the United States.
