The STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) activity at the Fenton Public Library in September was in honor of International Talk Like a Pirate Day on September 19.

Participants first learned about the concept of displacement and how it allows ships to float on the water. They created their own pirate ships using only tinfoil, paper, straws, craft sticks, glue and tape.
