Conservation Board gets green light to purchase land

By Molly Montag, News Correspondent

Officials have paved the way for approximately 128 acres of land in southern Kossuth County to be purchased for wildlife habitat, hunting and other public uses.

Purchase of the land from current owner Richard Crail is contingent on the Kossuth County Conservation Board securing a $208,000 grant. The remaining $170,000 would be funded by the Kossuth County Conservation Reserve.
