Book Talk

The Titonka Public Library will host a book talk on Saturday, March 4 from 6-7 p.m. with author Beth Sartor Obermeyer. Her book is entitled, When Winter Came: A Country Doctor’s Journey to Fight the Flu Pandemic of 1918. Her grandfather, Dr. Pierre Sartor, practiced medicine in Kossuth County. Her book delves into his life as a rural primary care physician with a particular emphasis on his work during the flu pandemic of 1918.
