One of the primary goals for the Whittemore Legion Riders is to raise funds to help veterans in care centers in Kossuth County. They hold a raffle prize drawing every month, participate in parades and funeral escorts.
“We normally go to each care center and give the gift in person. This year we weren’t able to do that, so the gift was just put in their account,” said Mick Zimmerman, one of the Legion Riders. “We were able to help 33 veterans living in care facilities in Kossuth County.”
