Making the move to digital
Kossuth Regional Health Center’s Radiology department received a big upgrade, and while construction was still ongoing at the first of the year, digital x-rays were already in use in January.
“With the old system, we would have to leave the room, and place the film in a machine to have it transferred to digital to be read,” said Nikki Grandgenett, a radiological technologist for Kossuth Regional Health Center. “It’s a lot quicker, and we know right away if we need a different angle or another view.”
