WESLEY – A funeral Mass for James Miller was held Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley with Father Steven McLoud officiating.  Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Wesley.
James Robert Miller was born Aug. 24, 1935, on the family farm near Wesley.  He grew up there attending St. Joseph Catholic School in Wesley.  Jim worked for farmers throughout his early years.  He moved to Mason City in 1985.
Jim knew no strangers and he enjoyed visiting with people especially with his family and friends in the Wesley area.  He kept up with current events reading newspapers from cover to cover.  He loved animals, playing bingo, and was an avid sports fan.  Jim always remembered his family members’ birthday and acknowledged it with a card.  
Jim became a resident of Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City in 2007.  He died there Friday, Nov. 17, 2017 at the age of 82.
He is survived by a special brother, Paul D. Miller of Wesley; a sister, Virginia “Ginger” Kresbsbach of Algona; nieces and nephews, Wayne (Willy) Klein of Ames, Mark (Bev) Klein of Algona, a special niece Lynne (Dave) Grant of Clear Lake, Shari (Steve) Lensing of Spencer, Mary (Dan) Hankins of Johnston, Dona (Kurt) Nielsen of Algona, and Nancy (Casey) Kuhlmann of Chaska, MN; and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Laura Klein in 1991; a brother, Harlan Miller; and two brother-in-law, Dave Klein and Maurice Krebsbach.
