Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Titonka.  Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 3, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Titonka.  Interment will be in German Valley Cemetery.
Irene Emelyne Perry was born June 9, 1928, Southwest of Blue Earth, Minn., the fourth child, second daughter of Carl and Emma (Blome) Perry.
She attended country schools in Faribault County, Minnesota, namely District #30 and #31.  She graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1946.  She was employed at First and Farmers National Bank in Blue Earth and later at Titonka Post Office and Titonka Care Center.
She married Carl O. Mayland in 1954 and moved to the present farm where she has lived for 60 years.  Three children were born to them; a daughter, Jean Marie and two sons, Jay Carl and Perry Henry.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Care Center Helpmates and was a 4-H Leader and a den mother for her children.  Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, mowing lawns and her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children Jean (Cragon) Caboth of Mt. Pleasant, Jay (Clarice) Mayland of Buffalo Center and Perry (Susan) Mayland of Assumption, Ill.; four grandchildren, Cale Caboth, Anya Caboth, Signe Mayland and Chance Mayland; step grandchildren, Ryan (Brittaney) Robinson and Rachel (Jarret) Bonfitto; four great grandchildren, Ellie Caboth, Alexis Robinson, Luke Robinson and Brooklyn Bonfitto; sister Audrey Larson of Vacaville, Calif., brother Carlyle (Mary Jean) Perry of Winnebago, Minn.; sisters-in-law, Joan Perry and Wilhelmine Risius; as well as many nieces and nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; sister Agnes Brekke; brothers, Harald, Donald and Carl Jr.; brothers in law, Fred and George Mayland, Jeff Brekke and Manly Larson; sisters-in-law, Jane Perry, Anna Meyer, Marie Risius, Louise Dirksen, Irene Schmidt and Ione Helmers; her mother and father in law, Henry and Marie Mayland, as well as two nephews.
