DES MOINES—All the waiting was worth it for Sam Nielsen of North Union as the Warrior senior had to survive a total of seven tiebreaker jumps to win the Class 1A state title in the high jump.

That gold medal winning jump highlighted the performances of the green-black-and-silver at the Class 1A state track meet in Des Moines this past weekend.
