Phyllis Dreyer of Fenton, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Kossuth Regional Health Care in Algona, at the age of 86 years. 
Funeral services for Phyllis will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fenton. Burial will follow at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation for Phyllis will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 from 5-7 p.m., at the church. 
Phyllis (Bierstedt) Dreyer, the daughter of Clarence and Clara (Kressin) Bierstedt, was born Aug. 22, 1930. She received her education at the St. John’s Parochial School until being confirmed on May 28. 1944. Phyllis then attended and graduated from Fenton High School in 1948.
On Nov. 20, 1949, she married Darrel Don Dreyer at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fenton. In January of 1950, they moved to a farm in Swea City, Iowa. In January of 1953, they moved back to Fenton and farmed Ed and Leona Meyer’s farm until they retired in 1993. They moved to the Dreyer family farm and continued to live on the farm.  For hobbies, Phyllis enjoyed traveling to Florida, spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, gardening, and needlework.  Darrel died on Nov. 18, 2000.
Phyllis was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fenton, where she was a member of the LWML. She also belonged to the Friendly Neighbor Club.
Left to cherish Phyllis’ memory are her children, Lee (Debra) Dreyer of Fort Dodge; Kay (Alan) Luedtke of Algona; Kim (Jane) Dreyer of Algona; Lynn (Kim) Dreyer of Fort Dodge; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Clarence (June) Bierstedt of Estherville; Larry (Janean) Bierstedt of Fenton and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents, husband, and one sister preceded Phyllis in death.
