A funeral service for Beryl Soderberg, 91 of Algona, will be held Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Algona. Burial will be in Greenwood Township Cemetery in Bancroft.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Algona and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.

Memorial services for Judy Isebrand will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Buffalo Center. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.

  Judy Lee Isebrand was born Sept. 10, 1954, in Forest City the daughter of Julius and Arlene (Lubben) Ostercamp. She grew up in the Woden area and graduated from the Woden Crystal Lake High School in 1972.

Marjorie A. Oxley, age 93, of Rochester, Minn., formerly of Blooming Prairie, Minn., passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Willows & Waters Senior Living in Rochester.

Marjorie Ann Arndorfer was born in Kossuth County on June 29, 1929, to Michael and Susan (Kellner) Arndorfer. She attended St. Benedict Elementary School and graduated from Corwith High School in 1947.

Marvin “Marv” John Johnson, long-time Whittemore resident received the call home to his Lord and Savior from the Kossuth Regional Health Center on March 23, 2023, he was 72.  Funeral services were held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 27 at the First United Methodist Church in Algona with Pastor Cindy Finn officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Algona.

Charles Edward West

Charles (Chuck) West, the son of William and Ellen West, was the second of five children. He grew up in Red Oak, Iowa.

Charles graduated from Red Oak High School in 1943. That same year, he enlisted in the Army Specialized Training Program. In 1944, Charles was sent to Fort Jackson, S.C., as part of the 506 MP Battalion. Later that year he was shipped to Europe, to guard cities in Europe during World War II.
