A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Algona. Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services. Inurnment will be held in Riverview Cemetery, Algona.
Edward John Fraser was born Aug. 5, 1952, in Algona, son of Ronald W. and Margaret M. (Wildin) Fraser. He grew up on a farm near Cylinder.

A funeral service was held at 1 p.m., on Friday, Jan. 13, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Algona, with the Rev. Chris Burnett officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m., also at Oakcrest Funeral Services.
Robert Martin Wilberg was born in Fenton on March 25, 1928 (Passion Sunday) 10:35 a.m., at 8 ¼ pounds.

Russel (Doc) O. Drown was born Dec. 16, 1927, to Clifford and Mae (Hauge) Drown in Fostoria. He graduated from the Milford High School in 1946. He then served two years in the U.S. Navy. He received his Chiropractic degree from the Logan Basic Chiropractic College, St. Louis Mo., in 1954. After interning in Iowa City for two years, he opened his practice in West Bend in 1956.

Bill Foth, age 87, of Algona, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at the Wellstead of Rogers Assisted Living in Rogers, Minn.  Mass of the Christian Burial was held Monday at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona, with the Rev. Jeremy Wind celebrating.  Burial took place in Calvary Cemetery in Algona. 
William Henry Foth was born on Oct. 31, 1929, in Algona to Frank and Bianca Stebritz.

BRITT — Joyce A. Sankey, 86, of Britt died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt.
Funeral services was held 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31, at First Lutheran Church in Britt with the Rev. William Rosin officiating.  Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m., Monday at the Cataldo Funeral Home in Britt and resumed one hour prior to services at the church.

A funeral service for Debra Lyn (Madsen) Hovey, 47, of Titonka, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at Good Hope Lutheran Church in Titonka.  Visitation was from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Titonka.

Irene Emelyne Perry was born June 9, 1928, Southwest of Blue Earth, Minn., the fourth child, second daughter of Carl and Emma (Blome) Perry.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 2, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Bancroft, with the Rev. Samuel Belz officiating. Visitation was held from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Bancroft.
Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.

Funeral service for Melvin Engelbarts was held on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at 10 a.m., at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Swea City with the Rev. Todd Hartsock officiating. Burial will be in the Harrison Township Cemetery with military honors provided by the V.F.W. Post No. 2541 and the Hagg-Turner American Legion Post No. 90 of Algona.

Funeral Mass for Gerald Bradley will be celebrated at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona with Rev. Monsignor R. Mark Duchaine presiding and the Rev. Edward Girres co-celebrating. Homilist will be Father James Bruch. Visitation will be Saturday from 9-11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Hawarden at a later date.

Vera Lucille (Fett) Fish was born on Jan. 5, 1925, in rural Corwith, daughter of Forest and Ruby (Santee) Fett. Vera was the fourth child of 15. She grew up in Corwith and attended country school in LuVerne through the eighth-grade.

Jean Marie (Bliven) Sabin was born on Nov. 8, 1929, daughter of Erwin and Pearl (Fevold) Bliven.  Growing up she lived in South Sioux City, Neb., Pioneer and Humboldt. She graduated from Humboldt High School in 1948.
