WHITTEMORE — James Baumann, age 65, of Whittemore, passed away on June 13, 2017 at his home. Graveside services were held at 10 a.m., on Saturday, June 17, at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Whittemore, with Rev. Ed Girres celebrating.
James Michael Baumann, the son of John D. And Agnes E. (Wiltgen) Baumann, was born on Sept. 29, 1951 in Algona. He graduated from Algona High School in 1970.
James was a farmer and a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Whittemore. He enjoyed driving the 4-wheeler, mowing and picking up sticks at the farm, walking, going for drives and eating at the Chrome.
Left to cherish James’s memory are his siblings, Mary Jean Laubenthal and her husband, Ambrose of Titonka, Joseph Baumann of Whittemore and Ruth Ann Patterson and her husband, John of Custer, Mont.; and three nephews, David, Mark and Kevin Laubenthal. His parents preceded him in death.
