North Butler rallied to take the first set and then rolled to victories in the next two games to advance to the Class 1A volleyball regional final with a win in three straight sets on Monday, Oct. 26, over the Bishop Garrrigan Golden Bears.
The 13th-ranked Bearcats advanced to Wednesday’s regional final at Clarksville to face top-rated Janesville while the black-and-gold bowed out of the 2020 season with overall match record of 15-12 and went 43-35 in games played in those 27 matches.
Earlier, West Bend-Mallard had the home court advantage but Bishop Garrigan prevailed in four sets in the Class 1A, Region No. 3 quarterfinal round volleyball match between the two schools played on Wednesday, Oct. 21.
