BELMOND—The Bishop Garrigan Golden Bear girls golf squad remained perfect on the year with a pair of Top of Iowa Conference wins on Friday, April 16 at the Belmond Country Club.
The black-and-gold improved to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in league matches as they had a team score of 183 to top Garner-Hayfield/Ventura’s total of 212 and North Iowa did not have enough golfers for a team score.
The Bishop Garrigan boys had a much tighter match on Friday as they tied with Garner-Hayfield/Ventura with identical scores of 189 but the black-and-gold won the match via the fifth score tiebreaker and North Iowa was third with a 194.
