Garryl “Louie” Householder, age 79 of Algona, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Lakeside Lutheran Home in Emmetsburg. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church Lotts Creek from 1-4 p.m.
Louie was born on June 25, 1937, in Lone Rock, to parents Glenn C. and Relzine L (Pettit) Householder. Louie attended school in Lone Rock and graduated in 1957. On Sept. 21, 1958, Louie married Patricia Ann Faith at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona. Louie drove semi for Householder Trucking, worked for Wayne Hansen construction and drove truck for John’s Ag Service in Humboldt. 
Louie loved life and fought hard to live it for the past 20 years. His greatest passion was for his wife, Pat and children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was born a trucker, but had many other talents. He was a master welder, heavy equipment operator and a mechanic. He was a good neighbor and a loyal friend. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patsy of Algona; his children, Vickie Householder (Larry Nichols) of Perry and Bruce (Jennifer) Householder of Adams, Tenn.;  grandchildren: Andrew (Rebecca) Heyer, Faith Heyer, Natalie Rork, Ryan Householder, Ethan Rork and Jason Householder; twin great grandchildren: Madisyn and Teaghann Heyer; brothers: Ellwyn “Butch” and Larry “Shorty” Householder; sisters: Carol “Blondie” Anglen and Gloria “Snooks” Schmitt and fairy Godmother, Alice Luedtke. Louie is preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Rork; his parents and brother, Darryl Householder.
