ALGONA — A tax levy will be implemented, starting in the 2020 budget year, to assist extension educational programs in Kossuth County.
“Passage of Public Measure C will be of great benefit to all of Kossuth County,” said Ron Dodds, of Wesley, who is a member of the Friends of Extension. “Shortly after the full effect of the increased funding comes to bear, the expectation is that Kossuth Extension will be able to deliver timelier educational programs for youth and adults.”
More than 68 percent, or 4,740 people, cast votes for the measure, while more than 31 percent, or 2,188, voted against the measure.
