Engen is NCC's XC champion

IOWA FALLS—Algona senior Trey Engen captured the North Central Conference boys’ individual cross-country title by topping a talented 55-man field on Thursday, Oct. 11. Engen, ranked 18th in the latest rankings, covered the 5K road course in a season-best clocking of 15:56.57.
Sixth-ranked Quinton Orr of Humboldt was second in 16:00.78, Joe Kunert (No. 27) of Humboldt was third, Clear Lake’s Eric Faught was fourth and teammate Justin Wright (No. 26) rounded out the top five finishers.
