Trey Engen ended up in fourth place overall individually and the Algona Bulldog boys’ cross-country team finished in fifth place with 126 points at the North Central Conference meet.
The event was held on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at the River Road Golf Club just north of Algona as Clear Lake edged Humboldt by two points for the team title as Sam Pedelty of Clear Lake won individual title in 16:56.11.
Engen was timed in 17:10.16 as Brandon Steil placed 18th in 18:11.74 for the Bulldogs. Collin Yi finished in 32nd place with his clocking of 19:03.33 as Nick Tilli was 34th in 19:06.31 with Zach Ortloff in 38th place with a time of 19:39.34 closely followed by Spencer Nelson in 39th in 19:44.21.
