Dalton was born Sept. 13, 1997, to Duane and Teresa (Vaudt) Cooper in Mason City, Iowa. He did not come into this life easy; doctors told the family that he may never walk, speak or eat on his own, but did he prove everyone wrong! He later welcomed his brothers Caleb and Brody, also known as “his boys.” The three of them became inseparable. He grew up in Buffalo Center, graduated from North Iowa High School in 2016 and never missed a beat. He enjoyed football, especially the Vikings, snowmobiling, loud music, cheerleaders and brunettes. The two most important and meaningful things in Dalton’s life were his truck and most definitely his family. He enjoyed supervising the boys while they worked on the farm and greeting people at the door of the liquor store. He was the most upbeat, positive person anyone would ever meet despite his health issues and occasional setbacks. He always had a warm and inviting smile on his face and brought pure joy to everyone around him.
Left to cherish such wonderful memories are his parents, Duane and Teresa; his brothers, Caleb and Brody; and aunts and uncles Toni and Kelly Sabin, and Troy and Melissa Vaudt.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials be made to North Iowa Community Schools so that they may start a scholarship in Dalton’s name.
