Bulldogs amass 522 yards in win

An explosive, high powered Algona offense amassed 522 total yards in a 41-21 victory over the Emmetsburg E-Hawks. The red-and-black did just about anything they wanted the first three quarters in the game played on Friday, Sept. 7 at Emmetsburg.
Emmetsburg got the ball to start the game and fumbled on the sixth play of the game and Dainen VanGorkum recovered for the visitors at midfield.
After a penalty moved them back, Wyatt Wegener hauled in a 52-yard scoring pass from Matt Grein. Spencer Holmes split the uprights on the point after try as the Bulldogs led 7-0 with 8:36 still remaining in the opening 12 minutes.
