Lead Summary
Two big plays and some miscues, including four turnovers were too much for the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines football team to overcome in a 20-12 season opening loss to the Glidden-Ralston Wildcats in a game played at West Bend on Friday, Aug. 24.
Things started off bad for the home team as the Wildcats’ Brigham Daniel returned the opening kickoff 71 yards for a touchdown. Lincoln Fehr tackled the quarterback to negate the conversion as the visitors led 6-0 with just 13 seconds gone in the contest.
