ALGONA—In a rematch of the 2020 Class 1A girls basketball championship game, No. 2 ranked Bishop Garrigan dominated the second half and went on to a 66-45 victory over top-rated Newell-Fonda on Thursday, Dec. 10.
First-team all-state sophomore Audi Crooks dominated the paint, sinking 15 of 16 field goals to pour in a game-high 31 points and blocked seven shots as the black-and-gold extended a one-point lead at intermission to an advantage of 30 points. The Golden Bears never trailed in the non-conference win.
