Algona received the Healthy Hometown Community award from the Healthiest State Initiative (HSI) Feb. 7 in Des Moines. The annual award were presented at Hy-Vee's Ron Pearson Center. HSI is a nonprofit organization with the goal to make Iowa the healthiest state in the nation.
