Algona natives reminisce at event in Des Moines

The Black and Blue Ball was a special occasion, but it was also an evening when three Algona natives who are now in the law enforcement field had a chance for reminiscing and a few laughs.
John Metzger, law enforcement instructor at the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy, said it was just three Algona boys who have done well in the law enforcement field getting together. The other two were Ron Layne, a Department of Natural Resources officer, and Dana Wingert, Des Moines chief of police.
