Algona defeats H-D in four sets

ALGONA—Algona opened North Central Conference volleyball play with a league victory in four sets over the Hampton-Dumont Bulldogs on Thursday, Sept. 3.
The home team took the first game by the score of 25-21 before Hampton-Dumont came back to tie the match at one set each with a 25-19 win in the second game.
But Algona rebounded to win the third set by taking a hard-fought 25-23 contest and ended the league match by winning the fourth game by the score of 25-19 to earn the conference victory.
