Speedway, drivers, crews adapts to changes due to COVID-19
Opening night of any event draws a different brand of excitement and hurdles to clear, but the first night of racing at the Kossuth County Speedway on Thursday evening turned the rpms up a couple of notches.
With no fans allowed in the grandstands for the night due to the coronavirus COVID-19 restrictions, a big group of 103 cars dotted the pit area for the season opener. Each driver could list 10 people to enter the pits for $25 each, and things went well with some exciting dirt track racing for the people who were looking for something they like to do to return.
