Speedway, drivers, crews adapts to changes due to COVID-19

Opening night of any event draws a different brand of excitement and hurdles to clear, but the first night of racing at the Kossuth County Speedway on Thursday evening turned the rpms up a couple of notches.

With no fans allowed in the grandstands for the night due to the coronavirus COVID-19 restrictions, a big group of 103 cars dotted the pit area for the season opener. Each driver could list 10 people to enter the pits for $25 each, and things went well with some exciting dirt track racing for the people who were looking for something they like to do to return.

Read all about it in the May 28 Kossuth County Advance.
