Adam Dooley rolls a birdie putt toward the hole on the second hole of the final round of the Randy Buscher Memorial Algona Am that he won for the fourth time on Sunday.

Dooley wins fourth Algona Am championship

ALGONA—Adam Dooley of Minneapolis won the Randy Buscher Memorial Algona Am golf tournament on Saturday, and Sunday, Aug. 8-9, at the Algona Country Club.

Dooley built a nice lead after Saturday’s first 18 holes by recording eight birdies and came back with three more on Sunday morning to post a six-shot advantage heading into the final nine holes.

The tournament drew a group of 98 golfers together for the weekend. An early Sunday rainstorm caused a 90-minute delay and forced the tourney officials to shorten the championship round to just 36 holes.
