Seeking common ground? Food at Farmers Market

As a society, we seem to have plenty of things to disagree about these days. Even so, I take comfort in knowing that we also have many avenues to find common ground with one another. One thing that has a way of bringing people together is good food. For as long as my memory stretches, food has been at the center of all important gatherings. Family dinners, birthday cakes, and special snacks help bring us into the kitchen and around the table. Discussing recipes, sharing cooking tips and talking to one another at the farmers market about food doesn’t just feed our bellies – it feeds our souls a little, too
