Mae “Mazie” Long, 82, passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2019, at her home in Algona. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, at First Lutheran Church, Algona, with the Rev. Funeral services for Gertrude Richter were held Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the Titonka United Methodist Church. Burial was in the Buffalo Township Cemetery.
Gertrude Evelyn Richter was born Oct. 2, 1913, in Lu Verne, the daughter of George and Ann (Stauffacher) Attig. At a young age, they moved to the Titonka area where she attended rural school in a one-room schoolhouse.

 Hugh Lawrence “Lefty” Walsh was born April 13, 1919, at Sac City, the son of Hugh L. and Mary Halloran Walsh. He attended Sacred Heart School in Early his first two years and moved with his parents to a farm southwest of Bancroft, completing his education at St. John’s School in Bancroft and graduating from high school in 1937.

"Jackie" Jack Francis Purcell, 90, Algona, died peacefully on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019. Visitation is at 10 a.m., and a Celebration of Life Service is at 11:15 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 23, at Lentz Funeral Home, 403 E. McGregor St., Algona. Evelyn Marie Huschka was born March 3, 1921, in Corwith, the daughter of Daniel and Ethel (Green) Halligan. She grew up near Corwith.

David Camp, age 70 of Bancroft, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Memorial services were Tuesday, Feb. 19, at First Lutheran Church, Algona, with the Rev. David Grindberg officiating. The VFW Post #2541 and the Haag-Turner American Legion Post #90 of Algona conducted military rites.

Rosetta May (Brown) Hard was born Nov. 4, 1934, to Louie and Gladys Brown at their home outside of Dow City. She joined one brother Leo, and later her sisters, Betty and Carolyn, and brother, Richard, completed the Brown family.
Rosetta attended grade school and high school at Dow City – Arion Community School where she graduated in 1953. After high school, she attended a business college in Omaha, Neb., and worked for a real estate office in their business department.

Regina Hagg, age 94 of Algona, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2019, at the Algona Manor Care Center. Funeral services are 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Algona, with the Rev.
