Richard Elsbecker, age 87 of Algona, passed away on Dec. 19, 2019, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Mass of the Christian burial was at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, at St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona with the Rev. Ed Girres celebrating. Burial was in St. John Catholic Cemetery in Bancroft. Visitation was 4:30-7 p.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church, with a 7 p.m. Scripture Service, followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary.

Lloyd Goodell, age 88 of Humboldt, passed away on Friday, Dec. 20, at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. Celebration of life was at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, at Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt, with the Rev. Jon Disburg officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Humboldt. Visitation was 4-7 p.m. on Friday at Faith United Methodist Church in Humboldt. The Lentz Funeral Home of Humboldt is serving the family.

Michael Nemmers, 64, of Knoxville and formerly of Bancroft, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2019, at the Knoxville Hospital. Funeral services were Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Oakcrest Funeral Services in Bancroft with Father Steven J. McLoud presiding. Burial was in St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Caroline Kruse, age 91 of Lone Rock, passed away on Dec. 18, 2019, at the Algona Good Samaritan Care Center. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 21, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lotts Creek with the Rev. Duane Miesner officiating. Burial took place in Lotts Creek Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation was 1 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the church.

Camilla J. Degen, age 90 of Granville, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019, at Maple Ridge Retirement Community in Omaha, Neb.
