A private family graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Corwith Cemetery for Gladys Mitchell. A private family visitation will be held prior to the graveside service. Funeral Mass for Royann Rutledge was celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 11a.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church with Father Edward Girres presiding. Burial was in East Lawn Cemetery.
Royann Marie Rutledge was born Dec. 8, 1950, in Algona. The daughter of Eugene and Shirley (Fandel) Nichols. She grew up in Algona and later graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School.

A funeral service for Phyllis A. Schmidt, 91, Titonka, was held at 10:30 a.m., Nov. 3, at Good Hope Lutheran Church, Titonka. Visitation was held at the Good Hope Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall 4-7 p.m. on Nov. 2. Burial was held at the Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Titonka, following the service.The service was live streamed on Oakcrest Funeral Services’ Facebook Page.

Dolores “Mom” Wagner waved us all goodbye on Oct. 28. She was 92, the same age that Kenny was when he said goodbye on Mar. 7, 2018.

On Oct. 19, 2020, our angel, Casey Dean Tweedy, age 34, finished his journey on earth and returned to Heaven. Casey passed away peacefully at Titonka Care Center from complications of COVID-19.

Charles J. Lickteig, a farmer rooted in faith, family and the rich black soil of Kossuth County, Iowa, died in Omaha, Neb., on Oct. 27, 2020 from complications of Parkinson’s disease. He was 89 years old.

Michael Alan Eischen

Michael Alan Eischen was born Jan. 13, 1956, in Algona, Iowa, the son of Harold and Mary Ann (Hauptly) Eischen. He grew up in Wesley, attended St. Joseph’s grade school and graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School in 1974. 
He was united in marriage to Marsha Kadlecik and to this union they had two children, Jessica and Nathan. They later divorced.
