Patricia “Pat” A. (Matzener) Taylor was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Omaha, Neb., the daughter of Harvey and Harriet (Jenks) Matzener. She grew up in Ledyard graduating from Ledyard Consolidated School in 1948.
She was united in marriage to Dean Taylor on Aug. 28, 1949, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale.

Kenneth Roger Bunkofske, son of Irma and Henry (Bunny) Bunkofske, passed away at his home in Englewood, Colo. on April 7, 2021.  He was born Oct. 21, 1939. He was baptized and confirmed at First Lutheran Church, Algona.  He will be interred April 24 at Riverview Cemetery in Algona.  Pastor Michael Knox will officiate at the gravesite service.

Richard ‘Dick’ Ludwig, age 90 of Corwith, passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Westview Care Center in Britt. Mass of Christian Burial was held on April 16 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wesley. Burial took place at St. Benedict Cemetery. Visitation was held on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona. Masks were required at the church.

Jessica Rose Siegert (Stetzel), 40, of Urbandale, Iowa passed away on April 9, 2021. Jessie was born in Algona on April 13, 1980 to Chuck and Rosemary Stetzel. She graduated from Bishop Garrigan High School. After high school Jessie moved to Urbandale, where she worked for American Equity for 18 years. On Dec. 6, 2014 she married the love of her life, Ryan Allen Siegert.

Ernest Allen Van Weelden passed away peacefully at his home on the family farm on March 31, 2021, at the age of 92.

Dale Harold Wingert was born June 24, 1938, in Waterloo, the son of Clare and Hertula (Wolf) Wingert. He grew up near Lu Verne on the family farm and graduated from St. Joe High School in 1956. 
He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on June 4, 1957. He was stationed at Camp Pendleton in San Diego, Calif. Dale was proud to serve his country and was honorably discharged on June 3, 1960.

Dennis A. Countryman, 58, formerly of Titonka, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, of heart failure, after battling heart issues for many years.
A Celebration of Life short service will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 10, at the Oakcrest Funeral Services in Titonka with a visitation two hours prior. A gathering of family and friends will be afterwards, to reminisce all the good times.
