 Milton Wilhelm, age 90 of Lu Verne, passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Milt’s visitation, funeral and luncheon were open to the public. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. June 5, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lu Verne, with burial in the Lu Verne Cemetery.  Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Church.  Services were live streamed on the Zion Lutheran Lu Verne FaceBook page.

Memorial Mass for Lori Detrick will be celebrated on Thursday, June 10, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecelia Catholic Church with Father Matthew Solyntjes presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date. 
Lori Ann Detrick was born April 22, 1961, in Algona, the daughter of Marten and Sandra (Marlow) Smith. She grew up and attended school in Algona and graduated from Algona High School in 1979.

Marjorie Ann Bell passed away peacefully at her Montana home on Nov. 3, 2020. 
Marjorie was born on March 31, 1927, in Wesley, to Bert and Helen Putzstuck. She was one of eight children.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lu Verne.
Lynda Kay (Northrop) Martin was born Oct. 18, 1946, in Fort Dodge, daughter of Paul and Fern (Logan) Northrop. She grew up in Lu Verne and graduated from Lu Verne High School in 1964. Following high school, Lynda moved to California where she began her career in law enforcement for over 21 years.

Ronald Gail Wolf was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on Aug. 29, 1951, son of Gail and Martha Wolf of Lu Verne.
Ron grew up on a farm east of Lu Verne, graduating from Lu Verne High School in 1969. He graduated from Waldorf College in 1971 and then attended Iowa State University for two years.
Ron was a life-long farmer and an avid gun collector and dealer for many years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lu Verne.

 A funeral service for Donna Mae Walker, 83, of Algona, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Irvington Presbyterian Church, Irvington. Burial was held in Riverview Cemetery, Algona. Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. on June 1, at Oakcrest Funeral Services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Kossuth County Dementia Care or Hospice of the Heartland in Algona, in her memory.

A funeral service for Dennis Heerdt of Burt, will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 11 a.m., at the Burt Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at the Burt Township Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Lone Rock Kerr-Hammerstrom American Legion Post #577. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

A funeral service for Arlen Benschoter, 83, of Algona, was held Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, Algona. Burial followed in Riverview Cemetery. Visitation was held at the Kossuth County Ag and Motorsports Museum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Kossuth County Ag and Motorsports Museum in Arlen’s memory.

A funeral service for Jennifer A. Stripling, 57, of Lu Verne, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lu Verne. Burial will be in the Lu Verne Cemetery. Her family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday.

A rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed immediately by a visitation at 10 a.m., Father Tim Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery.

Mary Ann Van Weelden,passed away peacefully on May 21, 2021. She was 87. 
A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 25, at Woden Christian Reformed Church. Visitation was  from 5 to 7 p.m. on May 24, at Woden Christian Reformed Church. Interment will be in Woden Christian Reformed Cemetery. The funeral and graveside were livestreamed on Oakcrest Funeral Services’ Facebook page.
