   Donald Dean Weydert, the son of Joseph and Genevieve (Leonard) Weydert, was born Oct.  27, 1936, on a farm outside of Humboldt. He grew up east of Livermore on the family farm and attended St. Joseph Catholic School, graduating in 1955. Don served in the United States Army receiving an honorable discharge.

Lorma Elaine (Blank) Zinnel, 95, of West Bend, passed away peacefully Tuesday night, Oct. 26, at the Algona Manor Care Center in the comfort of her family. Joan Turner died Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021, from complications of Parkinson disease at Westview Care Center in Britt, Iowa, where she had been a resident since May 2021.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 25, at 1:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Corwith with Pastor Denise Lindemann officiating. Visitation was Sunday, Oct. 24, 4-7 p.m. at the church.
