October 14, 1930 - July 11, 2022

Our little blue-eyed mother passed away peacefully on 11 July 2022 in Houston, Texas at the age of 91. 

She was the second daughter of Donald Call Hutchison and Lucille Marie Schultz, born on 14 Oct. 1930, in Cedar Rapids. She was a proud member of a close-knit and prominent family, and was named for her great-grandmother, Nancy Call Hutchison. 

December 19, 1935 - August 6, 2022

A funeral Mass for Yvonne Holtzbauer of Algona will be held Friday, Aug 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Cecelia Catholic Church in Algona.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The funeral and graveside service will be live steamed. Her family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug 11 at Oakcrest Funeral Services of Algona with a scripture prayer service beginning at 7 p.m.

 Richard “Dick” Ellsworth Campney, age 88, of Forest City passed away Monday, Aug. 1, 2022, at MercyOne Medical Center North Iowa in Mason City surrounded by his family.

A memorial service for Richard was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, at the United Methodist Church, 305 S. Clark St. in Forest City, with Pastor Les Green officiating. Ice cream, refreshments and fellowship followed the service.

May 17, 1943 - July 31, 2022

Virgil L. Wolf, age 79, of Forest City, died on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. at Schott Funeral Home, 505 N.  Clark St. in Forest City with Mr. Kermit Singelstad officiating.

   A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at Divine Mercy Parish - St. Cecelia Catholic Church. Burial will be held in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Bancroft. Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, at Oakcrest Funeral Services.

Roger Hayungs, age 79 of Algona, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at his home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8 at the Divine Mercy Catholic Parish – St. Cecelia in Algona. Visitation will be 2:30 – 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7 at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery.

George M. Good of Lakota went to Heaven July 28, 2022, at the age of 86 at the Kossuth Regional Health Center. He’d fought valiantly for decades with kidney and heart failure.

A funeral Mass was held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, at Divine Mercy Parish – St. Cecelia Catholic Church. Burial was held in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 to 7  p.m. on Thursday, July 28, at Oakcrest Funeral Services, Algona.

Jeanette Ennen, 87, of Buffalo Center, died Wednesday morning at Kossuth Regional Health Center, in Algona. A funeral service was held Friday, July 29, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Buffalo Center United Methodist Church. The service was livestreamed at https://youtu.be/LhhQr-tftRs. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery in Buffalo Center.

Funeral services for Viola Becker were held on Monday, July 25, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at the Burt Presbyterian Church with Pastor Walter Reemtsma and Pastor Judy Junkermeier presiding. Burial was in the Burt Township Cemetery.

Kenneth “Newt” Isebrand, 63, of Titonka, passed away June 26, 2022, at Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. A memorial service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 23, at First Baptist Church in Buffalo Center. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

April 21, 1951 - June 29, 2022

Terry Lee Ziesman was born April 21, 1951, in Fort Dodge, son of Herbert and Rita (Zuetlau) Ziesman. He grew up in Humboldt and Algona and graduated from Algona High School in 1969. Following high school, Terry worked at Snap-on before enlisting in the army. During that time, he was stationed in Germany for two years. Terry was honorably discharged in April of 1972.

A funeral service for John D. Diekmann, 92, of Algona, was held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Algona. Interment was held in East Lawn Cemetery with military honors conducted. Visitation was held from 5 to 7 p.m.  on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church.
