A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at the First Presbyterian Church in Algona with Pastor Walter Reemtsma officiating. Burial was held in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation was held from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17  at the First Presbyterian Church in Algona.

Glenn W. Jones (Jonesy) passed away peacefully in his sleep at home Sept. 12, at the age of 97.

A Celebration of Life for Marilyn E. Eichenberger, 68, of Lakota, was held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022, at the Eagle Center in Lakota. Burial followed at Highland Home Cemetery in Ledyard. Marilyn died peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 11.

Cynthia “Cindy” Long Loebach, formerly Cindy Welch, died of cancer on July 26, 2022, in Nampa, Idaho. She was at home and surrounded by family when she passed.

Cindy was born Oct. 30, 1948, in Algona. She graduated from Iowa State University and enjoyed a long career as a Medical Technologist. She married Bob Welch in 1971 and they raised two children, Matthew and Elizabeth, before divorcing in 1991.

Visitation will be held from 12-2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept.  8, at Lensing’s Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Road in Coralville. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Private interment will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville.

Max was born in Algona, on March 31, 1949, to Irving “Pudge” Miller and Roberta (Simpson) Miller.

Russell H. Fisher, 101 of Algona, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2022, at the Algona Manor.

Russell was born May 13, 1921, on the family farm in Rodman. Russell attended country school and would help on the family farm. Russell would later farm his own land in Kossuth and Winnebago counties, until his passion for cars would turn into a new lifetime career.
