Funeral services for Warren Andreasen will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, at the Hillcrest Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen Moore officiating. Burial is in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. on Friday, March 29, at Oakcrest Funeral Services.
Warren Eugene Andreasen was born Jan. 12, 1924, near Burt, the son of Alvin and Hattie “Fern” (Scott) Andreasen. He received his early education in a rural school and graduated from the Burt High School in 1943. Following his schooling, he served in the United States Merchant Marines in World War II. He then attended the Dunwoody Industrial Institute in Minneapolis.
On Dec. 31, 1950, Warren was united in marriage to Joan Wharton. Early in his marriage, he accepted the Lord as his personal savior. He served as a deacon in the Baptist church for many years.
Warren was employed at Snap-on Tools for 32 and one-half years, before retiring in 1990. He loved his family and was very good at fixing almost anything. His greatest love was for God’s word. He was a real student of the Bible.
Warren died Saturday, March 23, 2019, at the Waverly Health Center. He was 95.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Rick) Sanidfer of Nashua; granddaughters, Kelly Sandifer and Kristen (Stephen) Ryland; great-granddaughter, Claire Ryland; two great-grandsons, Calvin and Elliot Ryland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joan on Sept. 11, 2014, and a brother, Arnold Andreasen.
