ALGONA — Marjorie Pauline Marihart, age 68, of Algona, died on Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Memorial services were held on Saturday at Lentz Funeral Home in Algona with Rev. Eric Hauan officiating. Burial was in the Riverview Cemetery in Algona.
Marjorie Pauline Marihart, the daughter of Lester and Velva (Meenke) Hemiller, was born on May 23, 1949 in Watertown, S.D. She graduated from High School in 1967. Marjorie attended Votech college for 2 ½ years. On May 10, 1969, Marjorie was united in marriage with Thomas Marihart in Wheaton, Minn. She worked as a children’s librarian as well as a day care provider for 20 years. Marjorie was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed volunteering her time at the hospital and participating in her quilters club.
Left to cherish Marjorie’s memory are her two children; Craig Marihart and his wife Sheri of Sioux City and Lisa Hardman and her husband David of Algona; five grandchildren, Chad, Joshua and Grace Marihart, Curtis and Nicholas Hardman; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Marcia (Stan) Erickson of Westbrooke, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; parents; grandparents; and a brother, Ron Hemiller.
