Lois C. Bristow, age 93, of Sun City West, Arizona, passed away in Ripon, Wisconsin on Monday, July 2, 2018 with her family by her side. Lois was born on November 19, 1924 in Zell, South Dakota, the daughter of Edward and Clara (Hutchinson) Marlow. She graduated from Lone Rock High School in Iowa and was united in marriage to Richard Bristow on October 6, 1943 in Burt, Iowa. They both farmed in Iowa for 24 years before moving to Minnesota and farming on their family farm for 32 years. Richard then preceded Lois in death on October 21, 2008.
Lois was a member of Crown of Life Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod in Sun City West, AZ. She enjoyed knitting and belonged to the Encore knitting club in Sun City West. She also enjoyed playing Bridge and cards with her friends, gardening, reading and fishing. She was a huge baseball fan. Her favorite team was the Minnesota Twins until she moved to Arizona and became a Diamondbacks fan.
Lois is survived by her 6 sons: Edward of Ripon; Russell (Donna) of Jewel, IA; Tim (Linda) of Henning, MN; Richard (Debbie) of Belle Plain, MN; Jeff of Desert Hot Springs, CA; and Denny (Marissa) of St Cloud, MN; daughter, Beverly Bristow of Sun City West, AZ; 21 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Lovalee; grandson, Troy Day; 3 brothers: Donald, Dyllis, and Pershing; and 3 sisters: Sylvia, Velma and twin sister, Lucille.
Memorial Services will be held for Lois at 11:00AM on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Deer Creek, MN. Friends and family may visit at the church on Saturday from 10:00AM until the time of the services. Inurnment will be held at Inman Township Cemetery in Minnesota.
