Harley D. Bruellman, the son of George and Clara Gerber Bruellman was born March 24, 1927, in Algona, Iowa. He was raised and received his education in Ottosen, Iowa, where he attended country school.
On March 12, 1950, he was united in marriage with Adele Rose Esslinger, and to this union, four daughters and two sons were born. Harley was baptized along with his wife Adele, on Aug. 30, 1954, at the Apostolic Christian Church where he was a faithful member. The couple resided on their farm near Ottosen before moving to West Bend in 1976. Harley was an Army veteran during the Korean War.
His survivors include his children, Cheryl (Dave) Morrow of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mavis Ann (Jeff) McGuire of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Dave (Yvonne) Bruellman of West Bend, Iowa, DeAnn (Roger) Wuthrich of Bloomfield, Iowa, Deb (Jerry) Larson of Larchwood, Iowa, and Larry (Teresa) Bruellman of Naples, Florida.; 21 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and a sister Elaine (Don) Blasey of Livermore, Iowa.
Harley is preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Jennifer Bruellman; and great-grandchildren, Kimber Stuerman and Owen Meyer, as well as brothers, Donald, Eugene and Melvin.
Services were held at the Apostolic Christian Church in West Bend at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 15. Interment was in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, West Bend.
