ALGONA — Darlene Scuffham, age 81 of Algona, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2019, at the Kossuth Regional Health Center in Algona. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 7, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona with Rev. Eric Hauan officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Algona.
Darlene Faith Scuffham, the daughter of Arnold and Margaret (Voight) Wagner, was born on Nov. 11, 1937, in Whittemore. She graduated from Whittemore High School in 1955. On Oct. 20, 1957, Darlene was united in marriage with James Clark Scuffham at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Whittemore. She worked in retail sales for over 20 years. Darlene was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Algona where she taught Sunday school for over 20 years. Darlene loved to cook and make sure her family was fed. She enjoyed being outside working in her garden and maintaining her yard. Darlene loved to clean and stay organized. She enjoyed window-shopping and bargaining.
Darlene is survived by her daughter, Kim Dahlhauser and her husband Jeff Stillman of Whittemore; son, Kevin Scuffham and his wife Shelley of Storm Lake; five grandchildren, Nick, Ethan and Aimee Dahlhauser, and Ashley and Josh Scuffham; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Teddy Wagner of Titonka. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James in 2008; sister, Wilma Harvey and son-in-law, Clyde Dahlhauser.
