Family with disabled child asks city to repair street
A letter was sent to the Swea City Council asking the city to repair a portion of Seventh Street South.
Quoting from the letter from Chelsi and Trey Dreling: "These conditions were previously brought to your attention several times via phone. These conditions have arisen through no fault, abuse or negligence on our part. The road was impassable for six weeks this spring. The school bus was unable to come down our road and pick up our (handicapped) child and take him to school. Our child was unable to safely use his wheelchair because of the boils and ruts in the road. It was suggested that we park a block away and carry our (handicapped) child to our home."
