Kayla DeGeest and Jordan Limbaugh were married on Sunday, June 25, 2017, at Bridges Bay Waterfront Event Center in Okoboji, with Pastors Peter Talbot and Dave Heisterkamp officiating.
Kayla is the daughter of Norvin and Nancy Johnson of Okoboji, and Scott DeGeest of Green Bay, Wis. She is the granddaughter of Roger and Lois DeGeest of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Ron and Janet Kindwall of Garner.
The bride was given away by Scott DeGeest and Norvin Johnson, and her maid of honor was her sister, Krista DeGeest. Bridesmaids were Britta DeGeest, Tessa DeGeest, Kellie Terpstra, and Amber Limbaugh.
Kayla was a 2005 graduate of Spencer High School, and a 2009 graduate of Northwestern College where she received her degree in Elementary Education. She is now a 4th grade teacher at Lucia Wallace Elementary School in the Algona Community School District.
Jordan is the son of Jack and Deb Limbaugh of Algona. He is the grandson of Helen Limbaugh of Ankeny, and Dave Elmore of Dayton, Ohio.
The groom’s best men were his brothers, Jay Limbaugh and Justin Limbaugh, and his groomsmen were Grant Etherington, Ryan Hoover, and Brett Bergman. Ushers were Jake Walker, Trent Flander, Nate Herrig, Joel Gilson and Alex Berggraaf.
Jordan was a 2005 graduate of Algona High School, and a 2010 graduate of University of Northern Iowa where he received a Business degree. He is now employed by Jack’s OK Tire Service in Algona.
The couple had many of the groom’s nieces and nephews included in their wedding party. The children were Jack Limbaugh, Will Limbaugh, Kate Limbaugh, Meg Limbaugh, Austin Limbaugh, Jake Limbaugh, and Harper Pehl.
The couple had a dinner and dance at Bridges Bay Waterfront Event Center following the ceremony, surrounded by family and friends dear to them. Following the celebrations, the couple honeymooned to Cozumel, Mexico. The couple now resides in Algona.
