Reopening stores report mixed results
It has been a mixed bag for businesses reopening in Algona over the past month after being closed as long six weeks because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“I thought we would be really busy the first couple of days we opened, and then it would slow down,” said Seth Schaldecker, managing partner for Brown’s Shoe Fit Co. “We have stayed busy every day.”
On the other hand, Lori Ruehle, owner of River’s Edge, said Mother’s Day was a positive, but it was kind of slow after that.
