Prayer service offers comfort to caregivers

It was a peaceful setting on the Accura Healthcare of Bancroft front lawn Thursday, May 14. With birds chirping in the background, two ministers provided words of wisdom and appreciation during a prayer and scripture service for employees of the facility.

“It is important that we do this,” said Jeanne Kinney, manager of the facility. “We have prayed non-stop since this started. That is what has gotten us through is prayer. It’s been important.” Kinney said the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is something she has never been through before. “It is a totally unique experience and the fear of what could happen if we get this virus,” she said. “When you hear of buildings where 24 people have died – that is my whole population. It is really scary.”
