POW museum adds new installation
Allie Baker, an intern at the Camp Algona POW Museum, has designed a new exhibit for the museum. The display was installed last Monday and includes art from German POW Wilhelm Martens which he drew in his journal.
The map portion shows how many POWs came from Europe and Japan, with only 5,413 Japanese POWs coming to the U.S. while there were 239,503 and 186,368 from the European and North African theaters of war, respectively.
