McCartan is a world-class aerobatic aviator
Head of Northern Planes Aerosport Aaron McCartan, a Burt resident, has competed around the world as an aerobatic aviator. Last year, he went to Romania for the World Advanced Aerobatic Championship, where he won a gold medal and assisted the U.S. team in winning silver behind France.
McCartan's first flight was when he was two weeks old in his parent's Cessna 172. He has been doing aerobatic aviation since 1998. He began his training two weeks after he received his pilot's license. He began competing in 2007 and has increased his skill level throughout his career.
